I was all lined up for 5 early, early morning classes (6:30 am), which actually worked well for me because I was back home before the kids even left for school.  They were city programs and advertised only in the rec. guide so ended up with only a couple people showing.  They were hoping to get the before work crowd. So the classes were cancelled. This happens all the time and by the time you know your classes won't run it's too late to put your name in for others. (That wouldn't be guaranteed either).

I decided to branch out and took an Aquafit  course through the 'Y'.  Now I'm practicing teaching without actually doing it, not being in the water, and, in fact, the most challenging aspect is the non-verbal cueing. I took sign-language, ASL, years ago and it's like that, except I get to make up some of my own signs.

Next, I have to apprentice for some hours and then I can start subbing and possibly have classes in the new year.  We'll see.
